Scholarships and Grants
The Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education and UA Online have a variety of scholarship opportunities available. A simple scholarship application is required. See the UA Online tuition and financial aid page for specific deadlines and instructions.
Several scholarships are available specifically for New College LifeTrack students:
Elizabeth B. and Ronald C. Howard Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time or part-time undergraduate student enrolled in New College LifeTrack. Preference is given to students who have completed at least 12 credit hours of graded work under the auspices of New College LifeTrack and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Demonstration of financial need, although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines, may also be a consideration for the award.
William and Sybil Landau Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in or accepted for admission to New College LifeTrack who are in good academic standing. Priority consideration is given to adult students from Jefferson County, Alabama. Secondary consideration is given to students in other counties within Alabama. Students residing outside Alabama are also considered.
New College LifeTrack Society Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to NCLT students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines.
Back to Bama
If you previously earned at least 15 credit hours from UA and have been out of school for more than a year, you may be eligible for a Back to Bama grant. It could pay for your first 3-hour New College LifeTrack course.
Enrollment and Refund Policy
The last day to drop an online course and receive a refund follows the regular University schedule for campus courses. Refer to Student Account Services for dates.
